A Heartfelt Thank You!
The 2024 trip to Uganda was filled with hard work, joy, and deep gratitude. Our Canadian team included Eddie Joyce, Genille and Justin French, and their children Seth and Josie - supported every step by our Ugandan family: Fennie (driver), Moses (teacher), Mama Maria (church liaison), Nelson (law student), and Gideon (engineer).
Distributing the donated handmade items from Newfoundland brought so much joy - blankets, stuffed animals, clothing, shoes, and Christmas cards. One little girl proudly wore a dress once owned by our daughter, given out the previous year. Her smile said everything.
Kawaaga Health Care Centre
Visiting the Dr. Genille & Justin French Kawaga Health Care Centre was emotional and inspiring. Thanks to incredible donor support, the latest construction phase was completed three years ahead of schedule.
We were greeted by a parade of singing, dancing, and speeches - a community celebration we'll never forget.
The outpatient clinic is fully operational and thriving. The women's, men's, pediatric, and maternity wards are now completed, with equipment & furnishings expected soon through government support.
The clinic now includes:

ο»Ώο»Ώο»ΏInpatient building - dedicated rooms for women, children & men
ο»Ώο»Ώο»ΏMaternity ward with prenatal assessment area, birthing rooms, postnatal area, showers, & indoor toilets
